1 Full type chart
Rows = the attacking move's type. Columns = the defending Pokémon's type. Green = super-effective, orange = resisted, red = no effect. (This is the Generation-3 chart Fire Red actually uses — note there's no Fairy type.)
Legend: ×2 super-effective · ½ resisted · 0 immune · blank = normal damage. Dual-type Pokémon multiply both columns together — e.g. Ice vs Dragonite (Dragon/Flying) = 2 × 2 = ×4, and Water vs Golem (Rock/Ground) = ×4.

3 The physical/special quirk read this
In Fire Red, whether a move uses Attack or Special Attack depends on its type, not the individual move (the per-move split didn't arrive until Gen 4). This changes which moves are actually good on your Pokémon:
Physical types (use Attack stat)
Normal Fighting Poison Ground Rock Bug Ghost Steel
Special types (use Sp. Atk stat)
Fire Water Grass Electric Psychic Ice Dragon Dark
